Our student accommodation over Brighton Pride week is a very popular option for visiting LGBT students and anyone else who is part of the LGBT community. The pier is mainly of an 1880s construction, with extensive repairs and alterations carried out between about 1939 and the 1970s.

A few friends and I were looking to stay on campus for Brighton Pride. We were all going to be in the area already but had no idea about how to logistically get a room organised. It would have been great just to be able to fill out an application form and pay online like you could do with your own housemates, but unfortunately Sussex don't do that. The University of Sussex is a Gold Sponsor for Brighton Pride 2018, and we’d love to see you all there! We have a limited number of bedrooms available on campus for our out-of-town visitors.

To apply for accommodation (from Friday 17th August until Wednesday 22nd August), please complete this form by 23. 59 on Wednesday 15th August. The application can be filled in online or printed out and posted by post. If you would like to request accommodation during Brighton Pride week, please make sure to apply in good time, as University of Sussex accommodation cannot guarantee you space on the campus. Two smaller piers extend northwards from beneath its arcade. A group of pavilions known as the Supper Rooms, behind the pier, are also separately Grade II. The final structure was built by R. St George Moore, who eventually completed the pier in 1911.
