The Watershed, 7 Western Concourse.

The Watershed, a contemporary-style social bar and eatery on the water's edge, was once an essential building for commercial shipping operations in the Port of Liverpool. Following changes to shipping technology, it became surplus to requirements and gradually fell into disrepair. In 2010 it was restored by social entrepreneur Chris Horrocks in partnership with The Conservation Volunteers, the building reopening as a waterside social venue in March 2013. The Watershed started as a small social enterprise in a cottage bar, then moved into a warehouse and boat shed with pontoons which allowed visitors to dine, drink and dance on the water.

Now the team behind the venue have been granted permission by Auckland Council to build an extension that will allow The Watershed to cater for up to 450 people indoors and outdoors. The Watershed is a local-favourite in Marrickville. It's got your usual pub style-food, big bar areas and a strong drinks selection. What make The Watershed standout from the usual run of the mill Marrickville cafes and restaurants are their unique paddock-topped venue, and their panoramic harbour views across to the city.

The Watershed, 7 Western Concourse. Follow the boardwalk past all the big chain restaurants and turn down the jetty onto the main harbour concourse. Here you will find The Watershed, a family-friendly social bar and eatery with water edge decking and west-facing views perfect for landowners. The Watershed a big high-ceilinged room with a long central bar, an assortment of overstuffed sofas and chairs,. A big old buffet-style table at the back of the room is filled with local newspapers, books that you can swap for a free drink, and a few random reminders to recycle.

The Cherry Tree, Brighton Marina Restaurants And Cafs

The Cherry Tree Brighton Marina is a new independent café situated on the waterside of Brighton Marina. Like many cafés it has an inviting relaxed atmosphere with an eclectic crowd and lots of sunshine. It serves breakfast, brunch and lunch as well as a selection of cakes, hot drinks, cold drinks and alcoholic beverages. This makes it ideal for a lazy weekend breakfast or lunch or indeed if you want to have friends or family over for an informal dinner party (up to 30 people).

We loved the cherry tree for both its brilliant cocktails and food so thought we would share some great Instagram pics that depict how good this place can be. It’s just a few months since we had the pleasure of having our first meal at the newly opened Cherry Tree café which overlooks Brighton Marina in the South East of England. We were meeting a friend for lunch, and it just so happened that a friend of hers wanted to come along too.

The restaurant and café was filled with families enjoying their time out together as they celebrated Easter break while waiting for some boats to go through water traffic control nearby. The cherry tree is a lovely restaurant situated in the inner harbour at Brighton Marina. The restaurant has just recently opened in 2016 and is run by Dale and Mandy who are locals to Brighton. When walking in, you are greeted by two large bay windows which lets the natural light flood into the room.

As it is an independent restaurant there is no big chain menu which may reduce choice but instead gives a nice local feel to the restaurant. The Cherry Tree is located within the marina, (where chain companies Starbucks and Costa have not ventured in yet). The atmosphere is relaxed but super cool at the same time. Like a real family business which makes you feel that they really care about their trade and we just fell in love with it.

After all, how many places would take orders via text message so you can relax and without the need to rush. Sitting with the sun at your back watching the hustle and bustle of Brighton Marina life happen before you whilst enjoying a lovely cup of coffee or newspaper is quite perfect. The atmosphere in cherry tree is so wonderfully relaxed, perfect for chilling out on a wet summer day. And. just across the road.

The Creekside, another new independent café and restaurant opened at the beginning of 2016 and one that we are keen on. A little more expensive than many of the other options in Brighton Marina but worth a visit. Come and see us for yourself to make up your own mind! We look forward to seeing you. Located on the London Bridge roundabout at Borough Market, The GB Charcuterie is set to be another popular dining venue in the heart of London.

Chez Mal At Malmaison,Brasserie & Bar

Chez Mal Brasserie and Bar is one of Manchester’s best chefs. He was awarded a Michelin star for his skills back in 2007 and has been championing the use of seasonal, local and organic ingredients ever since. Using cooking as a way to unite cultures Chez has now been running the kitchens at Malmaison Oxford since 2012, where he sources fantastic locally produced seasonal food stuffs, grass-fed meat, preserves from local producers & utilizes foraged ingredients foraged along the River Cherwell.

I have been a regular customer of Chez Mal since they first opened in Leeds in 2008. Their bar was the place to go for live jazz and a cocktail to match. They have recently refitted their Brasserie and Bar which is now even more sophisticated than before. The team at Chez Mal pride themselves on using fresh ingredients and serving classic cocktails such as a Pegu Club or an Old Fashioned alongside the best beers, wines and spirits that Yorkshire has to offer.

When I am not blogging or worrying about the kids, I am thinking up new restaurant ideas or enjoy a few nice glasses of Malbec at Malmaison. It’s just how my creative brain works.  I have this strange habit of making up restaurant ideas based on all sorts of random things and then I go off and mentally review the menu for each one. Having seen a steady growth of markets and fantastic eateries, the weekends are quickly becoming just as busy as week nights.

A big decision for us as we were uprooting our three boys who ranged in age from 1-8 years old at the time.  So after we weighed up all the options, packed our bags and made our journey across the big pond it was time to decide where we wanted to.

The restaurant TGI FRIDAYS is all over. Due to the completely unique atmosphere here, it has always been a very popular choice for everyone to go and have a good non-pretentious meal with friends or family and spend some quality time together. Las Iguanas, Brasilia

The 60's bright paint job is perhaps not quite what you would expect from the 'you are there'Brazilian favela-theme, but that was kinda cool. The noise level wasn't too bad on a Friday night, despite a packed restaurant. You gotta have fun with the service, I guess. A pretty decent amount of time between orders, utensils and drinks were not always on time, and the bill took a long time to turn up. Also, cigarettes to smoke outside – it reminds me of another great Brighton restaurant – London Carribean.

Las Iguanas is a chain of restaurants serving flame-grilled Latin American dishes and shared plates. A sister  create to Brightons original on Jubilee Square in central Brighton,  the restaurant opened in  2010 to positive reviews with a greater focus on the food over the original. Las Iguanas, a contemporary Latin American restaurant and bar, features a selection of shared plates, flame-grilled meats and Latin inspired cocktails. Nandos Restaurant

Nando’s is an Afro-Portuguese chain restaurant that mainly serves chicken, although in more recent years they have introduced other parts of their menu. The restaurant was created by Fernando Duarte (hence its name Nando’s) in 1987 and since then the chain has grown to over 1,000 restaurants in 35 countries within 5 continents. Nando’s is a popular worldwide restaurant because of the authenticity of Portu-guese cuisine and its unique ‘Nandocino’ sauce and it therefore can be seen as a modern version of traditional Portuguese dishes.

Nandos is a Portugese chain restaurant that serves flame-grilled chicken in spicy chilli sauce. Five Guys

Five Guys is an American fast-food restaurant chain focused on hamburgers, hot dogs, and french fries, and headquartered in Lorton, Virginia, an unincorporated part of Fairfax County. The first Five Guys store opened in 1986 in Arlington County, Virginia, and by 2001, the chain had expanded to five locations throughout the Washington, D. C. metropolitan area. In 2003, the chain began franchising its system; the 50th store opened in September 2005 located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

The company said it has grown further than its competitors since 2011 making it a 'serious force. '". His four sons would help him make this dream come true and thus the inception of Five Guys was born. This post compares Five Guys and In ‘N Out Burger. I mostly cover the key differences between these two franchises.

This isn’t a comparison of the food quality, although I have tried them both a few times. Burgers and fries, sure. But hot dogs? Don’t get me wrong. The hot dogs at Five Guys are juicy and salty with just enough snap when you bite into them. But it’s hard to call them hot dogs. We were gonna call this article Five Guys, The best burger you'll ever eat, because when we visit they really are the hands down best.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Burgers

The North Laine has been a prime location for gastronomy for a few decades now, since the days when it was punks and hippies who'd already discovered those great Indian restaurants (I remember how shocked I was when I first moved here 23 years ago that it was the same now as it had been then: burgers are, and were, pretty much as 'modern'as Brighton gets). But while this area has always had its share of Mediterranean restaurants, with the huge influx of Eastern European immigrants in the past decade or two we've seen an addition to what's on offer including Guvnor is one of several Polish establishments which have arisen in the area, along with Kosovan, Turkish, Italian and others.

Here’s another entry in Brighton’s new burger-fest on Gardner Street that sees GBK open shop next to newcomers Munchies, Haystack and Grillstock.                  I want you to imagine a box of burger-shaped bricks: You can put them together however you like, but there’s one thing about the burger that can never change – It has to have cheese and bacon. And so it is with the Gourmet Burger Kitchen. There’s nothing wrong with this – I eat those things all time.

They are good, when done well. But they are not good for me. And it seems this kind of premium fast food really isn't in line with GBK's slogan 'The. GBK Brighton is a good spot. Being a chain, certain things are consistent across GBK restaurants such as the wooden interior, flat screen TVs, and 'decor'.

The restaurant has found a comfortable niche here, serving consistently delicious burgers with a nice selection of drinks and sides (also known as fries or chips). The New York based burger chain has since been followed by Five Guys, Shake Shack’s main competitor in America. Of these three restaurants, Five Guys is probably the most similar in terms of how they serve burgers, but they’re an American company, so that’s somewhat obvious. GBK Brighton provides the same choice of mains as it's sister store in the Laine area, plus some additional specials including 'Foos'n'Tings or Cajun Chicken. The burgers themselves are not quite as fancy at GBK as say, the 'Secret Burger', but nonetheless a nice mixture of burger patties which you can have eaten in or takeaway.

The burgers are served with a portion of fries which is always an added bonus. "--[ brightontownpress.co.uk. The GBK restaurant is on The Level, which is quite a bustling area of Brighton.
